At Youths As Volunteers Integrated Network Society (YAVINS) we are looking for individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of the Ugandan people. We offer support to the communities in which we work, while maintaining the upmost respect for the cultures there. Our goal is not to change the cultures and traditions, but to offer support to the local people.
If you are interested in volunteering with YAVINS we have opportunities available for all ages and areas of expertise including but not limited to:
- Social work and development
- Environmental protection
- Nursing and public health
- Counselling and social science
- Youth crisis counselling and guidance
- Rural business and project management
- Skills training (carpentry, construction, plumbing, mechanics, etc)
- Literacy improvement programs
- Sports training and participation
- Fine Arts
- Marginalized youth teachers and trainers
- Fundraising
- Sustainability and community development
With volunteer opportunities both in Canada and abroad there is no reason not to join the YAVINS network of volunteers.
